Laghunyasam, traditionally recited as a preparatory Nyasa before Sri Rudram in the Krishna Yajurveda, Taittiriya tradition.
Laghu means brief or concise, while Nyasa means to place, establish or consecrate. Laghunyasam is therefore a concise preparatory Nyasa in which sacred mantras are used to symbolically establish divine principles in different parts of the body, preparing the devotee inwardly for the chanting of Sri Rudram.
