"Swami, I am flying to You" from Russia to Prasanthi Mr Vladimir Afanasyev developed a deep interest in yoga and spirituality, thanks to his father, who was among the first to spread the knowledge of yoga in the Soviet Union. A meeting with a Sai devotee, who would become a lifelong friend, in 1979 drew him to Swami and offered him a glimpse of the spiritual freedom he had been seeking. The events that followed brought his entire family to Brindavan and Prasanthi Nilayam, giving rise to a series of cherished and unforgettable moments with Swami.
